Pro Tools Standard Perpetual License offers up to 128 voices/audio tracks, 512 instrument tracks, 1024 MIDI tracks, and one mono/stereo video track. It also comes with 40+ virtual instruments, effects, and sound-processor plug-ins. The Avid Complete Plugin Bundle (available separately) gives you access to just about every audio plug-in Pro Tools has to offer—115 plug-ins in total—all for a period of one year.

With Pro Tools, you can edit audio with ease. Reshape sounds, fix issues, and edit tracks with ultimate flexibility and precision. Trim clips, edit notes, and add fades with the Smart Tool. Change tempo or timing on the fly with Elastic Time. You can even make bad notes sound pitch-perfect with Elastic Pitch.

The software comes with Avid Cloud Collaboration, enabling multiple collaborators to contribute to the same Pro Tools project remotely. You can work on a song with anyone, anywhere in the world as if you were in the same studio—all you need is an internet connection.

Choose to authorize Pro Tools either via cloud license with iLok Cloud or with a physical iLok 2 / iLok 3 key (available separately).

Note:  This Education Student/Teacher license is for the individual use of an educator or student. It requires academic-eligibility verification by Identit-e during the activation process. The license is registered to the individual student/teacher’s My Avid account. A maximum of 2 licenses is permitted per account.

Perpetual License: What’s Included

  • Latest version of Pro Tools Standard software.
  • 1-year access to all available Pro Tools Standard updates. Keep all installed updates after the 12-month period expires.
  • 1-year access to Standard support with unlimited online technical support plus billing and account help—response within 24 to 48 hours.
  • 1-year access to Celemony Melodyne essential.
  • Perpetual access to 1GB of Cloud Collaboration storage, 2GB high-quality loop library, plus over 3GB of bonus samples and sounds for virtual instruments.
  • Users who wish to retain access to software updates and Standard support after the initial 1-year period need to purchase a 1-Year Software Updates and Support Plan Renewal before their current updates and support plan expires. The active 1-Year Software Updates and Support Plan currently attached to your Perpetual license can be renewed at any time before it expires, or up to 30 days after its original expiration date (30-day grace period).
  • If you did not renew your 1-Year Software Updates and Support Plan before it expired and still want access to software updates and Standard support, you must either buy another Perpetual license, or switch to a Subscription by purchasing a Perpetual Crossgrade to 2-year Subscription license (surrender of Perpetual license is required for Crossgrade).

Work with Sound for Picture

Pro Tools lets you play and edit 4K/UHD and HD video, and Avid DNxHD sequences right in the Pro Tools timeline (1 video track). You can create and mix soundtracks in sync with the picture.
