IK Multimedia T-RackS 5 Metering Module is a tool providing many meters and visualizations critical to mixing and mastering music when specific delivery specifications are indicated. Working within T-RackS 5 or as a standalone plug-in or application, this metering suite can also be opened in its own window and displayed in a secondary or tertiary monitor while you work, so you can keep an eye on various processes.

Included in the Metering Module is a precision-loudness LUFS meter that is compliant with all broadcast standards and can be tuned to integrated, medium, or short-term loudness ballistics. Settings are on hand for digital music-delivery systems such as Apple Music and others, so you never have to worry about failing specifications again. True peak and RMS meters are also on hand, as is a dynamic range meter.

A spectrogram, real-time analyzer, phase meter, and correlation meter help you visualize frequency or polarity issues that your ear may not catch, while old-school VU and PPM metering provide another metric for judging levels. These meters are displayed in both left/right and mid/side, for a more comprehensive view of your mix. This software is compatible with Mac and Windows operating systems, and works within audio units, VST, AAX formats.

Metering Module Features

Loudness Compliant LUFS Metering

The precision loudness LUFS meter, compliant with professional reference standards, provides valuable information about the integrated, mid, or short-term loudness of your material, so you know right away you if you’re master is up to spec.

M/S Metering

Mid/Side meters help you gather information about the relationship between mono and stereo content of a track, giving you a feel for the overall energy of a mix. That way, you can make an informed choice as to whether to go for a more widespread stereo image or a narrower sound.

VU and PPM Meters

These meters provide another level reference in a classic visual format with different ballistics. VU show an average level of loudness tied to the crest factor, while PPM provides a faster response for monitoring transients.
