Description

Internet Co Sound it! 8 Pro for Windows is an audio editor primarily geared toward audio mastering applications. Though it can record tracks one at a time, providing basic editing functions for this task, it’s intended for sequencing, polishing, and exporting polished mixes.

The main window provides two views which give you an overall picture of your sound file and allows you to apply fades, cut and paste, perform edits, and monitor your left and right channels independently. Below the editor window, you’ll see transport controls, a recording-timer feature, and a jog-wheel for fast-forwarding and rewinding at different speeds.

Sound it! 8 Pro ships with many Sonnox processes including their restoration suite, Oxford EQ, reverb, limiter, and F-REX, an effect processor that allows you select a portion of the frequency spectrum/stereo spread and apply volume, panning, compression, and reverb separately to the inside and outside of the selection. A plethora of stock effects are also provided.

DSD is supported up to DSD256, making it an engine able to handle true DSD-editing and export. Linear PCM is also supported up to DXD, and you can create and export DDP files for the mastering house. Batch processing for affecting multiple tracks at once is included as well. Sound it! 8 Pro supports Audio Units plug-ins.

Sonnox Restoration Plug-Ins Included

The software comes with De-Noiser, De-Clicker, De-Buzzer, Sonnox EQ, Sonnox Limiter, and Sonnox Reverb.

Comprehensive Metering

A loudness meter suitable for broadcast standards is provided.

Batch Processing

Batch Processing allows you to apply a processing chain to whole groups of tracks in any one folder. Functions available in batch processing include insert-effects, gain-control, normalization, auto-level, fade-in/fade-out, and audio-format and file-format conversion.

DDP Creation

You can create DDP files and embed ISRC and EAN codes. DDP is a format for specifying CD content and is commonly used for delivery of disc pre-masters for duplication.

Create ACID Files

In order to integrate your exports with music production software, you can save your files in the ACID format, assigning key, tempo, and other information that makes time- and pitch-shifting easier for ACID-compatible DAWs.
