Available for download, Slate Digital TRIGGER 2 Platinum gives you the ability to augment or replace any drum sound including kicks, snares, or toms in your mix, saving you the trouble of converting audio signals to MIDI and hunting for your own samples within your DAW.
With TRIGGER 2 Platinum, simply instantiate the plug-in on a drum track, and make use of the phase-accurate, multilayered engine to trigger drum sounds. Perhaps the kick drum you received from the recording engineer sounds different than what you would like. If that’s the case, now you can improve the sound by adding one of the 33 kick drums provided in this software. The same is true for the snare as 46 different snares have been sampled, as have eight sets of toms.
TRIGGER 2 Platinum lets you layer up to eight multi-velocity samples in the mixer for your drums. So you can have close mics, overhead layers, room mic layers, all in one instance of the plug-in. Fine tune the triggering with Sensitivity, Detail, and Retrigger controls, so that you never misfire a sample. You can pan each sample, detune it, flip the phase, and balance the levels.
Additionally, Slate TRIGGER 2 Platinum offers a transient-driven gate. Use it to isolate the sound you wish to replace before sampling or on its own as a powerful tool for gating drums. Slate TRIGGER 2 Platinum is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms, and operates in VST, AU, and AAX plug-in formats. You must have an iLok 1, 2, or 3 to use this product.
