An invaluable solution for audio creators of all kinds, the SoundID Reference Speaker Calibration Software with Measurement Microphone from SONARWORKS flattens the tonal peaks and dips in your monitoring setup, so you can trust what you hear and make accurate decisions in mixing and recording sessions. Once calibrated with this software and microphone bundle, your speaker system will help you work faster while allowing convenient translation checks on a variety of simulated playback devices such as laptops, smartphones, car speakers, and more.
SONARWORKS SoundID Reference for Speakers is a calibration plug-in and app delivering consistently accurate studio reference sound on your existing speakers. It effectively eliminates your speakers’ sound coloration by setting their frequency response to be completely flat across all audible frequencies, ensuring that every mix translates regardless of the speakers or headphone your audience uses for monitoring. Whether in the comfort of your studio or on the road, you can mix with confidence and make music that sounds great everywhere.
After installing the software you can proceed with your speaker calibration. It takes just 15 minutes to complete the measurement process using a flat-frequency-response microphone such as the SONARWORKS Calibration Measurement Mic (available separately) or any similar mic.
When measurement is completed, save your speaker profile and apply correction using the plug-in in your favorite DAW or use the SoundID Reference system-wide app to correct sound from any source on your computer.
Beside ensuring a neutral sound, SoundID Reference offers other useful features including Custom Target, which allows you to make custom adjustments to the target curve in real time. Translation Check helps you simulate your mix on a plethora of devices such as laptop speakers, phone speakers, car speakers, and more.
Designed to work primarily with SoundID Reference speaker calibration software, the SONARWORKS SoundID Reference Measurement Microphone is used to measure the frequency response of your room and speakers, capturing the acoustic characteristics of your listening environment and allowing the separately available software to correct unwanted sonic inaccuracies in your monitoring system.
The microphone features a small-diaphragm, electret condenser capsule with an omnidirectional polar pattern, and each mic is individually calibrated, ensuring a flat frequency response with optimal precision. It is supplied with a 0° on-axis calibration file for use in third-party applications, a 30° off-axis calibration file for use in SONARWORKS SoundID Reference software, and a 21-day trial version of SoundID Reference.
