The Exponential Audio Surround 3D Reverb Bundle from iZotope gives you colorful and transparent reverbs suitable for surround sound applications—including 7.1, Atmos, Auro 3D, and other immersive formats. Whether you mix post-production or music, you’ll find these reverbs useful. Included in this bundle are Stratus 3D, Symphony 3D, R2 Surround, and PhoenixVerb Surround.
All these plug-ins are compatible with Mac and Windows platforms. They can operate in AU, VST, and AAX formats. An iLok account is required for authorizing these plug-ins, though an iLok key is not strictly necessary.
Available for download, Exponential Audio PhoenixVerb Surround from iZotope is an algorithmic reverb that provides an inherently clean and neutral sound. Whereas the stereo version of PhoenixVerb is primarily used in music mixing, this reverb operates in formats up to 7.1 surround.
That feature, alongside an inherently transparent and tweakable sound, makes PhoenixVerb Surround suitable for post-production and sound design. Use it to bring a realistic ambience and depth to ADR dialogue or Foley sounds.
You’ll find global controls over predelay and input filtering. Tabs are provided for the verb’s attack, tail, and early reflection parameters. Each tab reveals a page full of parameters. Whether you need to temper early reflections, change the dimension of the space, or manipulate diffusion characteristics, your reverberating needs shall be met.
A balance tab is on hand to ensure you can tweak the signal for each channel independently. This section offers controls over levels and delays on a per-channel basis. You’ll also note the 3D tab, which provides connectivity for more complex multichannel mixes.
Note the Keyword and Preset section in the top right of the GUI; here you can find over 900 presets categorized by type. Click on the magnifying glass above this section, and you can search for presets by typing in your own terms.
This product is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms. It operates in AU, VST, and AAX formats. An iLok account is required for authorizing the plug-in, though an iLok key is not strictly necessary.
Available for download, Exponential Audio Stratus 3D from iZotope is an algorithmic reverb that can add depth, dimension, and even complexity to sound sources. The plug-in offers 24-channel support, and as such, you’ll find it equally useful in music and post-production contexts. Whether you’re preparing audio for surround sound formats (up to 7.1), Atmos, or Auro-3D, this reverb can provide an intuitive, yet tweakable interface, as well as a pleasurable sound.
Stratus 3D provides comprehensive controls separated into tabs. Click into the Early Reflections tab, and you can tailor the sound to your needs in highly specific ways. Click into the Tails tab and you’ll find a whole new set of controls over the late reflections. You’ll also see three sets of input filtering, providing high-, low-, and band-pass tweaking on global inputs, early reflection inputs, and tail inputs respectively.
You’ll note two different Balance tabs: TopBalance and MainBalance. These two tabs have been separated to give you a free-hand in the height dimension. Flip between the two to manipulate parameters for sound emanating above your head, or sound emanating more towards your feet.
Both of these sections offer controls over levels and delays on a per-channel basis. Go into this tab when you want to create compelling soundscapes for surround-sound formats.
Lastly, a Warp tab lets you add compression and overdrive. This tab also facilitates other effects, such as bit-reduction for a vintage-digital sound.
Whether you’re looking for halls, chambers, rooms, plates, or exterior landscapes, Stratus 3D has a reverb for you. Browse through them all by keyword, or click the magnifying glass in the top right of the GUI to dictate the terms of search. Over 1700 presets are provided in total, many of them for music, many of them for post-production, and many more suitable for both contexts.

Available for download, Exponential Audio Symphony 3D from iZotope is an algorithmic reverb that can add character and color to sound sources. The plug-in offers 24-channel support, and as such, you’ll find it equally useful in music and post-production contexts. Whether you’re preparing audio for surround sound formats (up to 7.1), Atmos, or Auro 3D, this reverb can provide an intuitive yet tweakable interface as well as a pleasurable sound.
Exponential Audio plug-ins trace their origin to the classic Lexicon units of yesteryear. Symphony 3D certainly expands upon that sound, adding color as well as dimension to your signals.
Symphony 3D provides comprehensive controls separated into tabs.
A Warp tab lets you add compression and overdrive, and also facilitates other effects such as bit-reduction, for a more vintage, digital sound. A chorus section adds modulation, and you can dictate how modulation effects the tails or early reflections on an individual basis. Other features abound: use the Gate tab to create classic, gated-reverb sounds, or automate the Freeze button to achieve weird, momentary effects.
